Overview

Internships with EngenderHealth provide an opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates from diverse backgrounds to gain valuable experience and to meaningfully contribute to our work.

EngenderHealth interns focus on a specific project or projects with our country, regional, technical, or operations teams. Internships may be subject-, country/region-, or department-focused. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend internal and external meetings with speakers from EngenderHealth and other global health organizations.

Types of Internships

EngenderHealth’s US office offers spring, summer, and fall internships. Internships are usually 10 weeks and located in Washington, DC. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all US-based internships are currently remote.

Our country offices also post intern vacancies on the careers page. Opportunities that allow for work outside of Washington, DC will be specified in the position description.

EngenderHealth believes that interns should be compensated in an equitable manner, and thus we prioritize offering paid internships. In special circumstances, we will consider unpaid internships. Internships can be for academic credit or not, depending on the intern’s school requirements and options.

Upload your cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation.
If writing samples are required for a particular internship, the posting will include the request to upload them with your resume and cover letter as part of your application.

Because of recruiting volume, we can only accept applications for internships that are currently open. Please note that the above posting and deadline dates are approximate.
