Moke Nyambita Magoma
Moke oversees EngenderHealth’s diverse portfolio in Tanzania, which includes family planning and sexual and reproductive health, comprehensive post abortion care, and HIV and AIDS prevention and care programs. He also serves as director of the Scaling up Family Planning Programme, which aims to improve the availability of and access to high-quality, integrated, and inclusive family planning and sexual and reproductive health services in Tanzania. Moke has more than 20 years of experience in leadership, management, and service delivery of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) programs, including family planning, in Tanzania. He has published extensively on RMNCAH topics in journals including BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and The Lancet Global Health. Moke earned a doctorate of medicine from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania; a master of medicine in obstetrics and gynecology from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda; and a doctorate of philosophy in epidemiology and population health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom.
