Youssef Tawfik

Senior Director, Clinical Family Planning and Reproductive Health

Youssef leads global family planning and reproductive health programming that covers contraception, comprehensive postabortion care, maternal health, cervical cancer, and fistula prevention and repair. He provides technical expertise in developing approaches to increase access to high-quality family planning and reproductive health services for all people of reproductive age—including adolescents, young parents, and underserved or marginalized populations—and their implementation across project interventions in fragile settings. He also leads the organization’s clinical governance and quality assurance approach across the health systems. He brings over 25 years of experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights and maternal, newborn, and child health programming. Youssef is a physician with a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He speaks French and his native language is Arabic.
