Youth are leading the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) movement in West Africa!
Through the Partnering to Advance SRHR and Eliminate GBV in West and Central Africa project, EngenderHealth is collaborating with youth-led partner organizations in Benin, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire to ensure women, girls, and young people understand and can exercise their SRHR and live in a world free from violence. Together, we are strengthening collaboration among local activists and organizations to amplify advocacy efforts to improve laws, standards, guidelines, and procedures for improving SRHR and preventing and responding to gender-based violence.
We will be joined by youth leaders from Actuelles in Côte d’Ivoire, Citizen Participation and Sustainable Development (OJEPC) in Burkina Faso, and West African Network of Young Women Leaders (ROAJELF) in Benin. These young leaders will share their experiences and successes, from creating consortia to developing and implementing action plans in their respective countries to realize shared visions. We will also hear opening remarks from a representative from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, which has provided generous support for this project.
Join us for this energetic and inspiring dialogue!
